The battle of 2 great fighters who have been inconsistent lately. I'm picking Shogan just because Chucks recent loses have all been in the striking dept. and that's his bread and butter.

This is one fight I am excited about.
I gotta agree with Shogun.. He should be in shape now. He looked sharp at the weighins. Plus Chuck got murdered his last fight and will likely be gun-shy.
Few more hours.. cant wait

Sogun looked amazing. I wonder if They will put together Shogun/Rampage II with the winner getting a title shot. At the same time I think Chuck wasfinished before this fight. Chuck lost 4 out of his last 5 striking. The great thing about huck was that he was a striker who never got taken down but not being taken down means nothing when your losing the striking. To be honest I need to see Shogun do it vs a fighter on a streak like Rampage or Machida. One thing though, Shogun came in great shape.

I will miss Chuck. He always made good fights.
Shogun looked great. At least if we are losing Chuck, we have a good replacement with Shogun.
Shogun vs Rampage makes alot of sense. Rampage needs his revenge and Dana will likely set it up.
Did you watch Anderson Silva.. I just woke up and the interents are going crazy.. lol

I think Dana is Nuts for pushing the retierment thing, especially before the fight. All mma fans love Chuck. If he retires and starts to miss fighting he could easily go to another org, Strikeforce or Affliction. If the guy puts asses in seats (which he does) keep him. I think pushing the retirement thing was a bit disrespectful considering how much Chuck has given the sport.

I think Dana is worried about Chuck getting brain damage. He's been knocked down 4 of his last 5 fights, and knocked out 3 times in that span. At least with Randy coutures sytle it is grappling so he rarely gets knocked out but with chuck it is more dangerous.
I agree that Dana shouldnt be pushing him publicly like that. Kinda makes Chuck feel stupid.
That said, I expect Chuck to fight Wandy one more time.. maybe next year.
